How do I create a service?

Once you've registered as a MoveChamp partner, you'll be able to create attractive services that feed our algorithm with data points in order to generate costings.

In order to create a service, follow the below steps:

  1. Head to your partner profile page.
  2. Click Manage Services.
  3. Click Create New Service.

What sort of information is required?

MoveChamp requires a number of data points to best provide our customers with costings. These are paired with specific information about your service in order to assist the customer in making the best possible choice. The following information is required:

  1. The name of your service. E.g. Extra Care Furniture Removal
  2. A quick description about what your team does in this service.
  3. It's important to provide some service-specific terms and conditions. E.g. We do not move antique furniture, or we do not move waste and garden refuse.
  4. Next, select the appropriate vehicle type that this service will use.
  5. The maximum distance your team will transport good with this service is stipulated in the maximum range field.
  6. The customer would love to know how many people of your team to expect. At times customers require extra hands to make the job go faster. With these fields, you'll be able to stipulate how many members of your team will be present at a base rate and how much you charge once-off per additional team member.
  7. Loading and unloading can be tricky to determine. Here it's best to use previous experiences to best determine how long it will take to load (minutes at origin) and unload (minutes at destination) the selected vehicle type. Specify a realistic time frame such that your team can be available for as many move requests per day as possible.
  8. One of MoveChamp's costing points is the price per km. Note this price is from the origin to the destination only and does not include any charges for your team to get to the place of origin.
  9. Ever had a move gig that wasn't worth your time? Perhaps the distance wasn't far enough or the items to be moved were too few. Use the minimum trip spend to set the absolution minimum amount your team will come out for.
  10. Next up we have modifiers. These describe compensation for certain difficulties associated with loading and unloading. Perhaps the origin location is on the 4th floor or there is insufficient parking at the base of the property meaning you'll need to park your vehicle further away? These things happen, but at least you can charge for the extra effort required to carry out the process. Move these sliders about to find the sweet spot.

What now?

All that's left to do is click Create Service. We highly recommend running your filters against the MoveChamp algorithm at this point to ensure the outcome is favourable for you. You can do this via the Simulation process. Head to our service simulations help topic for more information.
