Becoming a MoveChamp partner is easy and does not necessarily require formal CIPC company registration documentation! Once signed up for a MoveChamp account, go to the become a partner page. You can find this link at the top right of the site at all times.
The requirements are divided into several key sections. Don't worry, we'll save your draft for later if you can't complete it all in one go! The MoveChamp team will need the following information from you:
Let us know what sort of entity you operate as. Sole proprietor/independent drivers can skip to section 2. If you operate a CIPC registered company, we'll need to verify your company registration number and documentation. Please note that documents provided as proof need to be certified at your nearest police department. If your company is registered for VAT, please see below heading for more information.
We need to get to know a little bit about you. If you're a sole proprietor/independent driver, think up a good name that you'd like to be known as. Customers will see this name when interacting with your services. An image or logo is also required. Be sure to select an image that you would not mind having public as this is the image customers will see when interacting with your services. Click the placeholder image to change it.
Having trouble coming up with a logo or image? There are some great tools out there to make professional-looking logos. We recommend Wix Logo Maker and Tailorbrands Logo Maker. Other information in this section that we require include a short description about yourself or your company as well as a certified document to act as proof of your identity. Please note that foreign nationals will require proof of a valid work permit too.
Please provide contact details and proof of your address. Your proof of address must be a valid FICA-compliant document. See below heading for more information.
A solid set of terms and conditions can protect your team against certain types of liability in the event the customer attempts to reserve your services outside of your predefined specifications. Feel free to supply a website link to your T&Cs if they are more well established on an online form.
In order to ensure your team is not tasked to operate in an area out of the way, provide key suburbs/areas that you normally operate in. Do note that this information is paired with the value provided by Radius of Area. In this way, if you operate in a broad area, a single location can be provided to the Areas of Operation paired with a large Radius of Area value in kilometers. Please see below heading for more information.
Tell us about your operational policies. Do you have insurance? If so, tell us who's covering you. You can also specify whether you or your team works on Sundays and public holidays in order to prevent you services from showing on such days. Lastly, we have the Notice and Refund policy information. Your notice policy defines how far in advance the customer needs to reserve your services while the refund policy ensures the customer gives you fair warning if they need to cancel. In the event enough warning (in days) is not provided, you are able to automatically charge a penalty on the total value of the service. MoveChamp will then refund the customer the remaining value (less MoveChamp fee).
Areas of operation represent where you operate. You can add as many areas as you wish. Be sure to ensure these areas accurately reflect where you and your team is willing to go to perform the services you have on offer. Areas of operation are used to match your services to customer requirements and/or alert you to jobs in your area. You can change these areas after your registration at any time and even visualize them on an online map. If wishing to participate in Instant Book, be sure to assign vehicles to these areas after you have registered as a MoveChamp partner. More details on that process can be found in the assigning vehicles topic.
We understand that in order to create a trusted and secure space, certain documentation will need to be certified by local authorities. This process can take some time. That's why we've created a neat little draft system that saves your process as and when you're able to provide information. Once you've got your partner profile sorted, click Submit at the bottom right to send your registration request to our team.
Financial Intelligence Centre Act 38 of 2001 South Africa introduced FICA in 2001 to help fight financial crimes such as money laundering, the financing of terrorist activities, and to protect banking customers from such crimes. According to FICA, banks must ensure that the customer information that the bank keeps is correct and up to date as it is important for banks to know their customers.
